Project: Reception room and kitchen
Architect: Atelier du Point du Jour

Aventure land is located in the National Park of Magny-en-Vexin reason why the integration in the landscape is key and the building of the reception hall has a circular shape showing only 3 facades.

The roof covered with vegetation is merging with its surrounding and makes the building disappear when seen from above. This building is made out of a modular timber structure able to span on more than 20 meters. The northern façade does not have a lot of openings and host the technical rooms when the southern façade is fully opened to the daylight.
The roof overhang and lateral wooden screens dimensions have been calculated to protect from the summer direct sun light and allow the winter light to enter. The ventilation system is also designed to reduce the electricity consumption using cross ventilation.
The timber structure is combined with a strong insulation and the vegetal soil placed on the roof also reinforce this thermal insulation.
