This family house located in the leafy suburb of Morningside was once a single-storey house with a double pitched roof. The client's brief for this house was to add a floor to host a main bedroom, a lounge, a study, and reorganise the ground floor.

The reorganisation of the ground floor has allowed each room to gain more space and the living rooms and kitchen are now open in one single space making this area the centre piece of the house. The double volume with its numerous windows brings a vibrating light to the ground floor and the upstairs lounge.

Most of the rooms are north-oriented and enjoy the changing of daylight from morning to evening.
