MESNIL-le-ROI 2

FRANCE

Project: Dwelling addition
Architect: Atelier du point du Jour
Architect Associate: Thibault Faÿ

This family house is made of wood and is spread over three stories. The strong summer and winter confort is brought by a layer of insulation between the timber structure which allows a low energy consumption.

A skylight is bringing light on the ground floor living room and makes the second bedroom accessible via a footbridge.

Sun breaker have been used on the southern facade to reduce solar heat gain in summer.
