Inaugurated in 2015, the general headquarter of the French Armed forces hosts about 5 000 personnel in the XVe arrondissement of Paris.

Passive and active systems have been used to make the building autonomous 80% of the time. Natural ventilation, photovoltaic panels and buildings on stilts overlooking gardens to name only a few of these High Environmental Qualities (HQE) solutions that are going beyond the current French energy efficient regulations.

Different activities are gathered under the building which however keeps a homogeneous aesthetic with
its glass facades remembering the Normandy chalk cliffs and origami like roof inspired from the furtive plane. Flexibility is also one of the major concept for the internal organization thus insuring a long life usage of the building.
